Dear Mr. Russell:
I believe the attached announcement would be of interest to you. I personally lead the effort to recruit Bill and convince him to join our team. Coincident with the selection process, Ed Kraft had opportunities to engage Bill in significant discussions and is convinced Bill is the right person for the job. We also made a number of reference checks across the industry and, as you would expect, they all came back positive. We expect him to report to Quad Cities Station on November 21,1994.
Sincerely, Michael J. Wallace Senior Vice President Chief Nuclear Officer Attachment 1

e November 9,1994 NUCLEAR OPERATIONS PERSONNEL ANNOUNCEMENT
Dear Nuclear Operations Personnel:
In our continuing endeavor to establish the management team that can be most effective in leading the Quad Cities improvement effort, Mr. L. William (Bill) Pearce will be joining Comed effective November 21,1994, as the Station Manager at Quad Cities Station.
Bill Pearce has over 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry. This experience includes extensive involvement in startup activities, operations, and plant management I
related duties. He is a graduate of Barry University in Miami, Florida, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He is joining us from Florida Power and Light Company. While at Florida Power and Light, he held Senior Reactor Operator Licenses on both Turkey Point and St Lucie Nuclear Stations. He has been plant manager at the Turkey Point Nuclear Station since 1990 and has held that position while the plant has improved from an NRC watchlist plant to an average NRC SALP of 1.29. Of note, Turkey Point successfully completed a 46 day refueling outage in 1993 and their present refueling outage is scheduled for 42 days.
Bill's insight and experience will prove to be valuable assets in his new position at Quad Cities. Please join me in welcoming him into our organization.
