-GINNA STATION Maintenance Report Summary May, 1983 During the month of May, routine maintenance and inspections
-were completed, along with maintenance scheduled during the Refueling Outage.
Safety-related_ maintenance included:
1.
Annual maintenance and inspection of the 1A and 1B Emergency Diesel Generators, and cleaning of both Diesel Fuel Oil Storage Tanks.
2.
Replacement of Boric hcid Piping and valves on both 1A and 1B Boric Acid Transfer Pump Discharges, and a section of piping on a pressure tap off of the outlet of the Boric Acid Filter.
3.
Minor ~ inspections were completed on the 1A and 1B Safety Injection Pumps, the 1A CV Recirc. Fan, the 1B Motor Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump, the 1A and 1B RHR Pumps, the 1B Component Cooling Water Pump and the Personnel Airlock.
4.
Inspection and Testing of Hydraulic Snubbers.
5.
Calibration of Reactor Protection Channels.
6.
Inspection, maintenance and test of 480 Volt Breakers and Reactor Trip Breakers.
7.
Inspection and maintenance of the Boric Acid Transfer Pumps.
8.
Preventive replacement of various valve diaphragms on CVCS Valves.
9.
Maintenance and mechanical seal conversion of the 1A Component Cooling Water Pump.
10.
Inspection and maintenance of the 1A, 1B and 1C Service Water Pump Discharge Check Valves.
11.
Replace "C"
Incore Detector and repair the "D"
Detector Drive Unit.
12.
Replace manual Blowdown Isolation Valves 5701 and 5702.
13.
Inspect and rework check valve internals on the Standby Auxiliary Feedwater Pump suction lines per vendor recommendation.

Steam Generator maintenance included replacement of J-nozzles:
on both Steam Generator Feedrings, installation of tube

sleeves' in both Steam Generators, repair of ' leaking explosive tube: plugs in the "B" Steam Generator, removal and plugging of'one tube in the."B"-Steam.G'enerator, and water lancing both Steam Generators before and after secondary side main-tenance.-
