Dear Mr. Rusche:
.\\
Allens Creek Nuclear Generating Statiori 3
Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-466, 50-467 In confinnation of my telephone conversation with you on September 7,1976, this letter serves as official notification that Houston Lighting & Power Compan'y has reactivated the Allens Creek Nuclear Generating Station on a modified schedule.
The schedule now calls for the construction of one 1,200,000 - kilowatt nuclear unit (Unit 1), with construction activities anticipated to begin in late 1978 with completion scheduled for 1985.
Plans for Unit 2 have been cancelled.
As originally announced for Allens Creek, the General Electric Company will supply the NSSS and turbine-generator and Ebasco Services, Inc. will provide architect-engineering and construction services.
HL&P anticipates submitting to the NRC in mid-November,1976 a letter describing changes to be made to the Allens Creek design.
This letter was discussed in the September 23, 1976 meeting between HL&P and the NRC staff.
Very truly yours, i
