Revision to Technical Specifications
- Auxiliary Feedwater System and Engineered Safety Features Actuation System; Correction Gentlemen:
This letter transmits a correction to the application for amendment to Facility Operating License No.
NPF-42 for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS), Unit No.
1, dated October 21, 1994 A technical specification page, reflecting the proposed change contained an incorrect reference and a typographical error.
This page has been corrected and is being resubmitted.
This submittal has been discussed with the NRC Project Manager for WCGS.
The referenced license amendment request proposed revising Technical Specification Surveillance Requirements 4.7.1.2.1.c.2 and 4.3.2.2 to indicate that the provisions of Technical Specification 4.0.4 are not applicable for entry into Mode 3.
In addition, it was proposed to delete the words "during shutdown" from Technical Specification Surveillance Requirement 4.7.1.2.1.c.
These proposed changes to the technical specification surveillance requirements are being requested to delete an administrative inconsistency due i
to the system limitations to supply steam to the turbine-driven Auxiliary Feedwater pump prior to entry into Mode 3.
