Dear Mr. Denton:
Reference 1) informed the NRC that the fuel load date for the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No.1, had been advanced to August 15, 1984. This schedule alteration has resulted in the need to revise our schedule for Operator Licensing Examinations. Our Operator Licensing Examination schedule was previously transmitted by Reference 2). This schedule was provided in response to Reference 3).
KG&E now anticipates the following requirements for Operator Licensing Examinations between now and December,1985 :
- 1) KG&E has a requirement for 42 initial (cold) license operator examinations. KG&E now requests that these be conducted in a single group starting the week of April 2, 1984. The Wolf Creek Generating Station Simulator will be in service and available for the conduct of operational examinations for three weeks starting on April 2, 1984.
- 2) KG&E anticipates the requirement for five or six hot license operator examinations in April, 1985.

- 3) KG&E also anticipates the need for six to eight Reactor Operator to Senior Reactor Operator upgrade examinations in September, 1985. The precise candidates will depend on how many operators we cold license certify at the Reactor Operator level versus Senior Reactor Operator level and the results of our final preexamination audit.
