Dear Sir:
On June 17, 1980, we notified you of a potential defect under the provisions of 10CFR Part_21. Our customer, TVA, Knoxville, Tennessee, was also iiiformed on the same date. In addition, on June 20, 1980, we sent you a letter on the came subject.
The potential defect related to a transmitter manufactured by Rosemount, Inc. which we utilized in the control system of components furnished TVA for the Hartsville and Phipps Bend Nuclear Power Plants.
This letter is to inform you that Carrier has retrofitted all of the components involved in this notification with new circuit boards and we now consider this matter closed.
Under a separate letterhead, we are also informing Mr. Gregory P. Nicely, TVA, Division of Purchasing, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37401.
