A!:E!a:E'CS TO TACILITY LICE *:SE OE TECIC:ICAL SPECIFICATI0!:S APRIL. 1983 The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued, on March 4, 1983, Amendment Nos.
84 and 85 to the Operating License for Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2 respectively.
The change removes a restriction on moving a spent fuel cask into the Fuel Building. Also, requirements are added to install cask impact pads in the spent fuel pool and to not store spent fuel decayed less than 150 days in the first three rows of fuel racks adjacent to the Fuel Building Trolley Load Block during spent fuel cask handling.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued, on March 11, 1983, Amendment Nos.
85 and 86 to the Operating License for Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2 respectively.
The change deletes the Technical Specifications which pertain to non-radio-logical water quality related requirements, as required by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued, on March 14, 1983, Amendments Nos.
86 and 87 to the Operating License for Surry Power Station, Un?its 1 and 2 respectively. The change has been designated as Technical Specification change no. 97.
The change allows the core thermal limits and overtemperature and power AT setpoints to be restored to values corresponding to 100% thermal design flow.
Technical Specification page 6.5-3, pertaining to retention of records, is added to this change because it was inadvertently omitted from Amendment Nos.
82 and 83 dated March 1, 1983.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued, on March 15, 1983, an Order for Surry Power Station Onit Nos. 1 and 2 below and has been designated as Technical Specification Change No. 98.
The Order is issued to encourage implarentation of NUREG - 0737 items.
Effectively immediately, the Order requires that the licensee shall;
" Implement and maintain the specific items described in the attachments to this Order no later than the dates in the attachments and in the manner described in the licensee's submittals to NRC Generic Letters 82-05 and 82-10."
