Ocean Service's (N0S) responsibility and expertise, and in terms of the impact of the proposed action on NOS activities and projects.
Geodetic control survey monuments may be located in the proposed project area.
If there is any planned activity which will disturb or destroy these monu-ments, we require not less than 90 days' notification in advance of such activity in order to plan for their relocation. We recommend that funding for this project include the cost of any relocation required for NOS monuments. For further information about these monuments, please contact Mr. John Spencer, Chief, National Geodetic Information Branch (N/CG17), or Mr. Charles Novak, Chief, Network Maintenance Section (N/CG162), at 6001 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
