Dear Sir:

This is a request for an extension of time for providing our Emergency Plan submittal. For the following reasons we are unable to meet the 30 day time period.

(a) During the Summer Term many of our staff members are absent, particularly our Reactor Safety Committee members who are required to approve the Emergency Plan.

(b) Before the revised Plan can be resubmitted it must be approved by the legal staff and the Office of the President.

These actions require a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks.

For these reasons we are requesting that the submittal date be extended to 31 September 1983.
