Eisenhut (NRC), dated May 24,1983 Gentlemen: ) l A recent review of statements made in previous correspondence addressing j the resolution of NUREG-0612 issues for Calve-t Cliffs has revealed the need to provide l clarification on one issue. The purpose of this letter is to provide such clarification. t In Reference (a) we responded to various issues raised during your review of our " Control of Heavy Loads" Phase I submittal. Included in our response was a statement that... " Repair to CE (Combustion Engineering) designed rigs would be per CE advice." 1 In Reference (b) we provided additional information, this time in response to I open items remaining in the draft technical evaluation report for Calvert Cliffs, which contained a statement that... "any repairs would be done in accordance with the rig vendor's recommendations." We wish to amend the above two statements to read as follows: " Future vendor recommendations on structural repairs will be considered.
