Dear Mr. Collins i-River Bend Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-458 Interim Report /DR-85 On December 8,1982, Gulf States Utilities Company (GSU) notified Region IV of a condition potentially reportable under 10CFR50.55(e) concerning incorrect taper at welds between the out-side diameter (0.D.) of heavy wall pipe fittings and the 0.0. of standard wall pipe on the 30-inch Service Water Piping System (DR-85).
Gulf States Utilities has not completed its evaluation and is awaiting additional information from our architect-engineer. An interim or final status report will be submitted by July 28, 1983.
