Dear Mr. Schwencer:
Enclosea is a summary report documenting the methodology employed in the analysis of fuel lift on the LaSalle County Station units.
This methodology has been reviewed and determined to be in compliance with the intent of the requirements of draft Standard Review Plan 4.2, Appenaix A.
The results of this analysis for LaSalle County Unit 1 are also reported as requested informally by the NRC Staff.
You will also note that the fuel lift model employed in the analysis, contains information which General Electric customarily maintains in confidence ano withholds from public disclosure.
The y
information has been handled ana classified as proprietary to b GeMt'aFEl'ectric, and we hereby request that the designated materials be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 2.790.
General Electric Company submitted an affidavit on the proprietary nature of these materials (executed by Mr. G. G.
Sherwood on June 4, 1981) to Mr. A. Bournia of your staff on June 5, 1981.
That affidavit is incorporated herein by reference.
