Dear Mr. Bournia:
O In response to a question raised by the NRC Staff in a telephone conference on August 9, 1978, Commonwealth Edison has reviewed Section 13.1.2.2 of the LaSalle County FSAR that addresses Plant Staff Organization.
Becauce the revision to Figure 13.1-4 sumbitted in Amendment 33 of the FSAR deleted the position of Instrument Engineer, which was replaced by the position of Master Instrument Mechanic, a question arose with respect to the manpower and qualification requirements associated with the newly identified position.
It is the purpose of this letter to indicate that the manpower requirements currently identified in Figure 13.1-3 for the position of Instrument Engineer (which no longer exists) shall apply-to the position of Master Instrument Mechanic.
Furthermore, the qualification requirements applicable to the position of Instrument Engineer shall be applied to the position of Master Instrument Mechanic.
The FSAR will be edited to reflect the clarifying remarks documented above.
