Administrative Judges Edles, Buck and Gotchy:
In a letter to you dated April 14, 1983 Mr. Trowbridge trans-mitted copies of correspondence describing a planned change in the reactor coolant pump trip setting and in the criteria for throttling high pressure injection.
Mr. Trowbridge indicated that I would communicate further with the Appeal Board on the relationship of this change to the hearing record.
I have asked knowledgeable personnel at B&W and GPU Nuclear to review the correspondence for that purpose.

Gotchy May 5, 1.983 Page Two that while the change inherently alters some of the factual infor-mation included in the record (i.e., references to the previous trip setting and throttling criteria), it does not affect the evidence presented on the assessment and analyses made by Licensee in response to the contentions at issue, and does not affect the evidence presented on TMI-l plant performance in response to small-break loss-of-coolant accidents and main feedwater transients.
