Seals supplied were Lubr, thane (Polyurethane) with a Nitrile spring. Correct material is a i fluorocarbon (Viton) seal web a nuorocarton (Viton) upring. ]

l The polyurethane and Nitrile mateOls have not been qualified for use with Fyrquel 220 MLT or Brayco 853 hydraulic fluids. Both muerials are known to degrade when in contact with Fyrquel 220 MLT hydraulic fluid. Acceptability of the Brayco 853 fluid is unknown.

The polyurethane and Nitrile materials have not been qualified for use in harsh temperature or radiation environments and may degrade and jeopardize operator function.

Fluid Controls informed Pump Division on 6 June 1994 that incorrect material supply had been discovered on an unshipped order. Subsequent investigation located three earlier incidents in which incorrect material had been supplied and delivered to customer (Enertech). Details were provided to Pump Division by FAX on 14 June 1994.

IN TIIE CASE OF A BASIC COMPONENT WillCil CONTAINS A DEFECT OR FAILS TO COMPLY, Tile NUMBER AND LOCATION OF ALL SUCil COMPONENTS IN USE AT, SUPPLIED FOR, OR BEINO SUPPLIED FOR ONE OR MORE FACILITICS OR- ACTIVITIES SUBJECT TO TliE REGULATIONS:

All components effected by this Notification were supplied to IInertech Company 2950 E. Birch St.  ;
