l In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, we are' enclosing a requested amendment to License DPR-79 to change the operating license of SON Unit 2.
The proposed change will revise a temporary. license condition that extends certain TS SR intervals to coincide with the Unit 2 Cycle 6 refueling outage. This request increases the extension approved by NRC in a letter j
to TVA dated November 9, 1993, " Issuance of Amendment (TAC No. M87697)

The proposed operating license change is identified'in Enclosure 1.
The l
justification for the proposed change is provided in Enclosure 2.
A proposed determination of no significant hazards consideration performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.92 is provided in Enclosure 3.
A listing of SRs to be extended is provided in Enclosure 4.
1 TVA requests NRC approval of this operating license change request by April 1994 to support the extension of SRs that will exceed their l
allowable extension in accordance with TS 4.0.2 and NRC approved Amendment 162 for Unit 2 on April 15, 1994.
TVA requests a 30-day implementation period for this TS change following issuance.
