Commitment Related to Amendment #67 to Technical Specifications

Letter from the NRC to Boston Edison, dated March 11, 1983
Dear Sir:
The reference transmitted Amendment #67 to the Pilgrim Station Technical Speciff-cations. This amendment deletes Appendix B, which was concerned with non-radio-logical water quality requirements, because the NPDES permit (EPA) adequately ensures protection of the aquatic environment.
The reference also requested that Boston Edison supply written confirmation of a verbal commitment which stated that a copy of any changes to the NPDES permit, or any violations which require notification of the permitting agency, would be submitted to the appropriate NRC Regional Administrator and to the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation.
This submittal confirms that verbal commitment.
We are currently in the process of identifying and modifying all relevant pro-cedures and instructions to ensure that copies are sent to the NRC in a timely fashion.
