In lieu of this, the NRC Staff required the applicant to formally document the missile protection to be furnished for these lines and have the protection-barriers in place prior to issuance of the operating license.

To comply with the Staff's requirements, we have documented that the missile barriers will be provided over the diesel fuel oil lines in Revision 47, fable

.3.5-11 of the Midland FSAR.. Engineering design drawings providing for the concrete tornado-missile shielding'have been issued to the Construction Department and will be implemented prior.to fuel load.

We believe the actions described above meet the Staff's requirements on this' issue.
