LP&L/NRC Interface Concerning Finalization of the Waterford 3 Technical Specifications
Dear Mr. Gillinsky,
Since November of 1981, Donald Hoffman has been the NRC contact for LP&L during generation of the Technical Specifications for Waterford 3.
To date, he has been receptive to technically justifiable changes that we have requested and has expedited implementation of these changes in a timely and professional manner.
On March 9, 1983, we expressed our concern to you regarding the impact of a potential delay in proof and review on finalizing the technical content of plant surveillance procedures.
Specifically we were concerned with finalizing our procedures as soon as possible.
Since that date, discussions between Don Hoffman and members of the plant staff have indicated that our expedited dates of March 31, 1983 for submittal.of the Waterford 3 Technical
. Specifications to proof and review and May 12, 1983 for finalization of the Technical Specifications will not change.
In light of this,LP&L wishes to express their satisfaction with the cooperation and professionalism we have received from Mr. Hoffman and hope that the interface LP&L has established with the NRC may continue to be as productive as it has been in the past.
I sincerely hope that this letter may alleviate any concerns that may have been raised involving the cooperation that LP&L has received from Don Hoffman in the review of our Technical Specifications. We have always had good cooperation and our only concern has been possible slips in this schedule.
