Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has issued Amend-ments Nos. 75 and 42 to Facility O'perating License Nos. DPR-51 and NPF-6, issued to Arkansas Power & Light Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of Arkansas Nuclear One, Units i
Nos. I and 2 (the facilities), located in Pope County, Arkansas. The amendme.nts arc effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendments modify the Technical Specifications to clarify the operability status of equipment with the timely completion of the i
i surveillance requirements for that equipment.
The application for the amendments complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Conmission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments. Prior public notice of the amendments was not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
The Commission has detennined that the issuance of the amendnents will not result in any significant environtfental inpact and that pursuant to 10 CFR EGl.5(d)(4), and environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental inpact appraisal need not be, prepared in connection with issuance of the amendments.
