Generic Letter 83-01, dated January 11, 1983, requested that Consumers Power Company identify proposed dates between January 11, 1983 and December 31, 1985

that will require an NRC site visit for operator licensing or instructor certification examinations. The proposed examination dates for the Palisades and Big Rock Point Plants were previously submitted in a February 28, 1983 letter to D G Eisenhut. The following information pertains to the Midland Plant.
Tentatively, 100 Midland operators should be scheduled to take the licensing examination starting approximately four months prior to fuel load. These li-censing candidates are divided into four groups of approximately 25 each, with three groups to complete the examinations before fuel load and the fourth group to finish approximately one month af ter fuel load. Due to recent schedule slips and additional work being completed, revised fuel load data is not currently available. After a new fuel load date is determined, CP Co will update this information adding specific dates and making any changes neces-sary.
