The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Comission) has issued Amend-i ment No. 74 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-51, issued to Arkansas Power t
and Light Company (the licensee), which revised the Technical Specifications Efd.for.'
operation of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit No.1 (ANO-1) located in Pooe l
County, Arkansas. The amendnent is effective as of the date of issuance.
The amendment revises the TSs to allow the Acoustic Emission method for the inservice volumetric examination of the reactor coolant pump flywheels.
l The application for the amendment complies with the standards and require-ments of the Atomle Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and ' regulations. The Comission has made appropriate findings as required i
by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which 1

are set forth in the license amendment. Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not invoiv.e a significant hazards con-sideration.
