t Mr. Russell, in Reference (1), Commonwealth Edison Company (Comed) submitted the Individual Plant Examination (IPE) for Quad Cities Station Units 1 and 2. In the Reference (2)
Request for Additional Information (RAl), the NRC Staff identified additional information which would be required in order to review and approve the IPE for Quad Cities Station.

Comed provided the requested information in Reference (3), with the exception of a response'to Question 12 regarding internal flooding. In Reference (3), Comed indicated l
that the response to Question 12 would be provided by August 31,1994.

During the Reference (4) teleconference, Comed indicated that the development of a response to Question 12 would be delayed. This delay is unavoidable due to the extensive plant walkdowns and data analysis (including simulator emulations) necessary to develop the response. Comed will provide the requested information by September 30,1994 If there are any questions, please contact this office.
