SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS March', 1991' The unit was shutdown at 2338 on llarch 8 for the' cycle 10-11 re' fueling outage.

There were no other-unit shutdowns or significant power reductions during the month of March.

The following major safety-related maintenance was' performed during the month of March:

The reactor was defueled. Visual inspection and ultrasonic inspection of the fuel was completed. Two leakingLfuel' rods were detected in a fuel assembly that was scheduled for reload.

This1 fuel assembly will not be reloaded.

2.

The control rods were inspected for wear and all were found to be acceptable for reuse.

3.

Miscellaneous corrective and preventive-maintenance'was! performed on'the-diesel generators.

4.

One leaking tube was plugged in IB -spent fuel pool heat ' exchanger.

5.

Various safety related check-valves andLmotor operated valves were inspected.

6.

"A" residual heat removal pump motor was disassembled -and the: lower bearing housing cap was resecled.

7.

A leak was repaired in the "A" train control room air-conditioning.
