I hope that you will pay close attention to the arguments being raised against the licensing of the Byrm Power Plant at the current hearings.
of Winnebago County, I am deeply concerned by Commonwealth Edison's decision As a citizen to seek a Federal license for the Byron site, in spite of the serious questions of plant safety which have so far gone unanswered.
It is evident to many people in this ccxnmunity that Commonwealth Edison does not have an adequate evacuation plan for the Byrcn Plant, ncr has it taken the necessary steps to correct a wide range of safety problems.
Those of us in the community who are already burdened by ever-increasing utility costs, who seem to have little that we can do to reign in a corporate giant like Commonwealth Edison, which believes itself to be free frcan most environmental controls, look to you for a fair hearing.
the Byron Power Plant to observe the most stringent of safety regulationsWe hop I am not willing to mortgage my children's future for such a short-sighted, potentially-hazardous project.

Being employed as a construction 1
worker at the Byron nuclear plant, I must express disgust at the recent bomb threats at the plant which have served no purpose but to cost the public more money while j
workers were evacuated.
However serious this matter is, I not d with some amusement Commonwealth Edison's Don Lindvall stated he felt their
,1 security was adequate. There is no secur-ity at Byron. The security people there i routinely sign passes for visitors and peo-i ple leavmg and little else.
