I hope that you will pay close attention to the arguments being raised against the licensing of the Byrm Power Plant at the current hearings. As a citizen of Winnebago County, I am deeply concerned by Commonwealth Edison's decision to seek a Federal license for the Byron site, in spite of the serious questions of plant safety which have so far gone unanswered.

It is evident to many people in this ccxnmunity that Commonwealth Edison does not have an adequate evacuation plan for the Byrcn Plant, ncr has it taken the necessary steps to correct a wide range of safety problems.

Those of us in the community who are already burdened by ever-increasing utility costs, who seem to have little that we can do to reign in a corporate giant like Commonwealth Edison, which believes itself to be free frcan most environmental controls, look to you for a fair hearing.

but to cost the public more money while j
