Revised Schedule for the 10CFR50.59 Repon and'UFSAR Revision Submittal' Gentlemen:
On August 31,1992,10CFR50.71(e)(4) and 10CFR50.59(b)(2) were revised to relax the frequency i
of revisions of the UFSAR and the repon of changes made pursuant to 10CFR50.59. The requirements were relaxed from annual reporting to reporting on a refueling outage basis; however, the perivd between revisions can be no longer than 24 months.
In response to the changes to 10CFR50.71(e)(4) and 10CFR50.59(b)(2), Nonh Atlantic Energy Service Corporation (North Atlantic) provided a schedule for a proposed submittal date of on or before
. November 18,1994,[Referenet. (b)] for Revision 3 of the UFSAR and the next 10CFR50.59 Report. The November 18,1994 date was based on Refueling Outage 3 being completed on May 20,1994. The actual completion date for Refueling Outage 3 was July 31,1994.
I North Atlantic is revising its submittal date to January 31,1995, (6 months after completion of Refueling Outage 3). The January 31,1995 date is comistent with the reporting requirements as outlined in 10CFR50.71(e)(4) and 10CFR50.59(b)(2). The subinittal will be approximately 20 months from the previous revision of the UFSAR [ Reference (b)].
