ZI}DiER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50.55(e), ITEM M-56, INADEQUATE INSTALLATION OF GAMMA PLUGS - W.O. 57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, M-56 This. letter constitutes a follow-up to our report, QA-2197, dated January 5, 1983, concerning the subject condition initially reported to the Commission as a potentially reportable deficiency under 10CFR50.55(e).
Task III of the Zimmer Quality Confirmation Program (QCP) has completed the walkdown of all accessible gamma plugs installed in essential' piping systems.
f Deviations to design specification requirements have been documented on Nonconformance Reports for engineering evaluation and disposition.
.A follow-up report on the safety' implications of these deviations and the status of required corrective actions will be submitted by June 15, 1983.
We trust the.above will be found acceptable las an interim report under 10CFR50.55(e).,
