ZIMMER NUCLEAR POWER STATION - UNIT 1 10CFR50.55(e) - ITEM M SERVICE WATER PUMP MODIFICATION W.O. 57300, JOB E-5590, FILE 956C, M-13 This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition initially reported to Mr. Gaston Fiorelli of Region III on August 10, 1979 as 10CFR50.55(e), Item M-13.
The fourth service water pump has been returned to the manufacturer for repairs. Shipment has been received on all repaired equipment except for one pump shaft. Quality Control will perform an inspection to verify that the pump is ready for installation.
Approximately six (6) months will be required for completion of all remaining service water pump modifications after the November 12, 1982 "Show Cause Order and Order Immediately Suspending Construction" is lifted in this area as requested by our January 7, 1983 letter to the NRC (EAB-SOL-li). A follow-up report will be submitted by July 20, 1983.
We trust the above will be found acceptable as an interim report under 10CFR50.55(e).
