Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No.1 Decket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 Inadvertant Safety Injection During Cooldown Centlemen:

By letter dated December 28, 1979, A. Schwencer to C. N. Dunn, the Division of Operating Reactors documented completion of a generic bounding review on inadvertent safety injection during cooldown.

It was concluded that a facility could withstand more than fifty inadver-tent ECCS actuations.

It was recently requested by our Resident Inspector that we review this NRC generic report to assure ourselves that Beaver Valley, Unit No.1 is adequately bounded by the generic review.

Since this document formed the basis for satisfying the licensing action on inadvertent safety injec-tions, it is considered appropriate that we perform this review. We respectfully ne g.,5 uiac a copy of this generic review performed by the Division of Operating Reactors be forwarded to my office for the purpose of completing this review.
