Dear Sir:
Pursuant to 10 CFR Section 50.55a(g)(4)(ii), Boston Edison Company is submitting Revision 1 to the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station ASME Inservice Testing Program (IST) for pumps and valves.
The program was developed in accordance with the requirements of ASME Section XI, 1980 edition, Winter 1980 Addenda.
In cases where the code would not be im-plemented, specific relief has been requested. Where ar. examination or test
' requirement by the code or addenda is later determined to be impractical and is not included in this revision, specific relief will be requested pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(5)(iv).
This revision represents the second 120 month (10 year) inspection interval which runs from December 8, 1982 through and including December 7, 1992.
Initial im-plementation, however, is not scheduled to occur until the third quarter of 1983 to make allowance for associated procedure changes and the subsequent training of personnel.
In the interim, our IST program utilized for the initial 120 month inspection interval shall remain in effect.
