57300, JOB E-5590, FILE NO. 956C, S-5 This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition, initially reported to the Commission on September 28, 1982 as a potentially reportable deficiency under 10CFR50.55 (e).
On June 15, 1983, CG&E requested an extension for submittal of this interim report until June 24, 1983.
As outlined in our previous interim report, LOZ-83-0016, dated April 14, 1983, CG&E has evaluated reports submitted by KTA-Tator, Inc. and Sargent & Lundy Engineers on the adequacy of the service level I coatings and has concluded that removal and replacement of these coatings is necessary except for a small amount which is inaccessible.
CG&E is developing a corrective action program for the resolution of this deficiency.
We will keep you informed of our progress.
