7590-01 UNITED STATES NUCLEAR REGULATORY CGMMISSION DOCKET NO. 50-334 DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANY OHIO EDISON COMPANY PENNSYLVANIA POWER COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) hassissued Amendment No. 64 to Facility Operatina License No. DPR-66 issued to Duquesne Light Company, Ohio Edison Company, and Pennsylvania Power Company (the licensees), which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No 1 (the facility) located in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.. The arandment is effective ss of the date of issuance.
The amendment deletes the Appendix B Environmental Technical Specifications which pertain to non-radiological water quality-related requirements, as required by the Federal Mater Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and i
the Commission's rules and regulations. The Connission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chaptor I, which are set forth in the license amendment; Price public notice of this amendment was not required since the anendment does l
not involve a significant hazards consideration, i

1 7590-01 The Commission has determined that the issuance of tt.is ame.ndmer.-t is a ministerial action required as a matter of law and will not result in any siscificant environmental impact and pursuant to 10 CFR 151.5(d)(4), an environnental impact statement, or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal, need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
