Dear hir. Lieberman:
The purpose of this letter is to amend a sentence on page 6, paragraph 5 in Georgia Power Company's cover letter to hir. James Lieberman dated July 31,1994, which describes the counseling of the Unit Superintendent by the Senior Vice President -Georgia Power Company (GPC). This amendment is intended to make clear that prior to July 31,1994, the Senior Vice President - GPC had a discussion with the Unit Superintendent but that counseling pursuant to Southern ' Nuclear Operating Company's Positive Discipline System did not occur until August 16,1994. The sentence should read as follows:
The Senior Vice President - Gemgia Power Company (GPC), in addition to counseling with the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) General hianager, as discussed in the Response to the Dentand for Information regarding the VEGP General hianager, has also met with the Unit Superintendent and discussed the need to assure that information is not misunderstood nor misinterpreted. In addition, on August 16,1994, an oral reminder, as contemplated by Southern Nuclear Operating Company's Positive Discipline System, was held with the Unit Superintendent by his supervisor and the Senior Vice President - GPC. They discussed the Unit Superintendent's performance failures related to the NOV and focused upon ways in which he could improve his attention to detail to ensure that his work is thorough and precise and that he communicates clearly with others.
Also enclosed is an errata sheet for Georgia Power Company's reply to the Notice of Violation.
