Dear Sirs:

On page 10 of the Petition to Intervene filed by the Citizens for an Orderly Policy, Inc. (Citizens) is a discussion of the Brookhaven National Laboratory's (BNL) dependence on a reliable energy source. By special agreement, the Power Authority for the State of New York currently supplies approximately 75% of BNL's electricity over the Long Island Lighting Company's (LILCO) transmission lines. LILCO does, however, supply the remainder of the needed power to BNL. Citizens wishes to bring this to your attention as a point of clarification.

Sincerely, I

k LUCINDA LOW SWARTZ Attorney for Citizens for an Orderly Energy Policy, Inc.
