Sierra Club, hereby move the Appeal Board under 10 CFR $2.711 to extend the time for Intervenors to file a brief on appeal in the above-captioned case.

Grounds for this motion gre as follows:

The Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's Partial Initial Decision (Limited Work Authorization) was served by mail upon Intervenors on March 3, 1983.

Intervenors filed timely exceptions to the Partial Initial Decision with the Appeal Board on March 18, 1983.

On that same date, Intervenors filed with the I

Appeal Board in a timely manner an application for stay of the effectiveness of the Partial Initial Decision, as provided 8303290411 8303PS PDR ADOCK 05000537 A

Counsel for Intervenors is engaged in several other proceedings before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S.

District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. Court of l

Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the U.S.

Supreme Court, which require substantial attention in the next few weeks.

3.

Counsel for Intervenors has long-standing plans to be married in New York in mid-April, and to be out of the country for the remainder of the month.

4.

Intervenors have participated actively for over one year on an expedited schedule in the extensive Clinch River Breeder Reactor proceedings, but have never requested an extension of time for any brief until today.

For these reasons, Intervenors respectfully move this Appeal Board to issue an order extending the time for filing of
