c ENCLOSURE' The TMI-l Reactor Trip Breakers are General Electric AK-2 circuit breakers.

The requirements-of Bulletin 83-01 do not apply since Westinghouse DB breakers are not used as Reactor Trip Breakers.

Note: Westinghouse DB breakers are used on Class IE

. equipment-at IMI-1; however, they do not have undervoltage' devices. This concern, therefore, does not affect those breakers.

The Reactor Trip Breakers at TMI-1 are tripped by an undervoltage device for which a similar concern was identified by Bulletin 79-09. The maintenance and testing described in our response are maintained current when the unit is operating.

Additional information and discussion of Scram breaker failures will be-provided at'the-March 8, 1983, meeting with the NRC and B&W Regulatory Response Group. Specific information regarding use of Westinghouse DB breakers at TMI-l has been provided to the TMI-l Senior Resident Inspector,
