Dear Sir:
Subj ect: Temporary Change 83-1 to the Vermont Yankee Physical Security Plan Vermont Yankee has determined that certain temporary modifications are neaded which effect the site security program and will result in a configuration which is contrary to that described in Vermont Yankee's Physical Security Plan.
This temporary change is submitted in accordance with reference (b) since no degradation of site security will occur because of the compensatory actions which will be taken.
Encisoure 1 describes the details of the change, compensatory actions to be taken and our tentative schedule for completion of the work.
The enclosures to this letter contain safeguards information and should be withheld from public disclosure.
We trust this information is adequate.
