Dear Mr. Axelson:
Sh 1 87 This is to seek assurance of b$e-O"ANUPdAMA5hg of the acceptability of using the simulator for the forthcoming emergency drill-for-score at Callaway Plant.
Recent conversations with members of your staff have given verbal approval of this suggestion.
The simulator is a duplicate of the Control Room for Callaway Unit 1, differing only in the degree of communications equipment available.
The communi-cations equipment installed in the simulator will be limited to telephones connected to the Emergency Operations Center and to the Technical Support Center.
We would not plan on going beyond simulation of radio communi-cations.
It is understood that the availability and use of the actual communications equipment can be demonstrated at a later time.
This substitution of the simulator for the actual Control Room will provide some very desirable relief to congestion within the Control Room since the drill-for-score will be conducted at a time of exceptionally heavy Start-up traffic within the Control Room.

proceed on the development of our drill-for-score scenario using our simulator with the understanding that
