50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR. PLANT (SQN) - INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-327, 328/94 EXTEND CORRECTIVE ACTION DUE DATE
Reference:
Letter from Ken Powers to NRC dated April 8, 1994, "Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN) - NRC Inspection Report Nos. 50-327, 328/94 Reply to Notice of Violation (NOV) 50-327, 328/94-06-01" This letter provides details concerning an extension to the due date for the corrective action to be taken in response to the referenced violation. The corrective action being extended involves revision to the environmental qualification (EQ) binders associated with cables in the steam generator enclosures. Since the time of the response to the violation, it has been determined that additional EQ binders are required to be revised.
Additionally, many of these same EQ binders are scheduled to be revised to address other unrelated issues. Multiple revisions to the same binders will not be as cost effective as revising the binders in a single revision. Therefore, it is prudent to extend the commitment schedule.
The enclosure includes the commitment and revised due date.
If you have any questions concerning this submittal, please telephone J.
