This letter constitutes a followup to our final report, QA-2082, dated November 11, 1982, concerning the subject 10CFR50.55(e) deficiency.
Originally, torque switch replacement for 126 motor operated valves was scheduled to be completed by March 1,1983. Because of the NRC's " Order to Show Cause and Order Immediately Suspending Construction", this could not be accomplished.
To date, 122 switches have been received; the remaining four (4) were damaged during shipment and will be replaced. It is estimated that this effort will be completed three (3) months after the NRC lifts its Order for work in this area. A followup report will be submitted by July 31, 1983.
We trust the above will be found acceptable as a followup report for t'is deficiency.
