Dear Mr. Youngblood:

This letter is provided in response to the Perry SER confirmatory issue number 44, regarding radiation and shielding design of the inclined Fuel Transfer System (IFTS) tubes. The radiation and shielding design information of the IFTS tubes is provided in Amendment 10 to the Perry FSAR and may be found on pages 12.3-11 and 12.3-1la, and Figure 12.3-21.

We believe that this letter and the information provided in Amendment 10 to the Perry FSAR should resolve this confirmatory issue in the next Supplementary Safety Evaluation Report.
