Dear Sir:
Our letters of August 9 (Reference 2) and August 25 (Reference 3) discussed the schedule of several NUREG-0737 items originally re-quested by the NRC in Reference 1.
For the reasons described below, we now find it necessary to change the schedule for the following items:

l II.B.3.2 Post Accident Sampling Modifications A post accident sampling system modification to the FitzPatrick plant is currently ic progress, and a large portion of the work has been completed.
Due to vendor delays, a change of general maintenance contractor, and the fact that it has not been possible to do heat tracing in parallel with mechanical work as originally planned, the modification is scheduled to.be comp 1_eted by. the end of the refueling outage. This outace is scheduled to begin May 1993.
Existing compensating measures are discussed in Reference 4.
II.F.1.6 Containment Hydrogen Concentration Monitor The schedule for the containment hydrogen concentration monitor has been affected by the same delays as the post accident sampling modifications.
This item is now scheduled for completion by the end of the refueling outage.
Reference 4 contains existing compensating measures for this item as well.
III.A.2.2 Meteorological Data This modification is being done in conjunction with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation.
The Power Authority's sche 21e has been affected by delays in Niagara Mohawk's a
portion of the project.
We are currently evaluating all possible alternatives to bring this work to completion, and will notify you of the revised schedule as soon as it is available.
