Dear Mr. Madsen:
The following information requested by your letter dated June 29, 1982, is herewith submitted:
(1) The date by LP&L will have all the released / turnover system maintenance requirements current.
With the exception of maintenance which can not be performed due to conflict with startup testing, all maintenance require-ments on released / turnover systems are current as of July 29, 1982.

What specific actions LP&L has initiated to ensure that the equipment and systems released in the future will not experience the same lapse in preventive maintenance?
We have initiated the following to ensure that lapses in Preventive Maintenance will not be experienced:
When a release package is submitted by Ebasco, the Startup Release and Turnover Package Group informs the Preventive Maintenance Committee Chaiman who notifies the Department Preventive Maintenance coordinators that the equipment or system is to be released. The system is scoped and the required task information is inputted into Preventive Maintenance System. This is accomplished in a time frame 8209270225 820915 PDR ADOCK 05000382 G

The Department Planners and Schedulers also notify the appropriate Department personnel of the actual release acceptance date.
