LER 32 35, Unit i Dear Mr. Maynes This letter is to confirm our verbal notification of your Mr. Ralph Architzel of the discovery that the level in one afety injection tank was found to be below minimum Technical Specification Limits.
At 001S on 7 17 82 with Unit 1 in Mode I, it was discovered that 115 safety injection tank level indicated 192 inches on the narrow rance indicator, but only 180 inches on the wide range indicator. The Technical Specification Limit is 117 inches. While the operator was investigating the discrepancy, the narrow range indicator decreased below the minimum scale reading of 184 inches. This is a vloration of Technical Specification 3.5.1.b. Water was added te the tank and minimum level achimed at 0108, terminating the event.
