Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
This letter provides confirmation that the Peach Bottom staffing for operating shift personnel meets the requirements of Table III.A.1.2-1 presented in generic letter 81-10, D.
G.
Eisenhut to All Licensees of Operating Plants, dated February 18, 1981.
This confirmation was requested in a March 29, 1982 telephone call from Mr. Robert DeFayette who is reviewing a previous submittal on minimum staffing for emergency operations (J.
W.
Gallagher to D.
G.
Eisenhut, dated April 3, 1981).
Table III A.1.2-1 in generic letter 81-10 requires the operating shift for the unit in the emergency condition to consist of at least one shift supervisor (SRO), one shift foreman (SRO), two control room operators, and two auxiliary operators.
A footnote to Table III A.1.2-1 requires additional shif t personnel for the unaffected unit consisting of at least one shift foreman, one control room operator, and one auxiliary 9

The Peach Bottom operating shift, as specified in figure 6.2-2 of Appendix A to the Peach Bottom Technical Specification, provides sufficient personnel to meet both of these requirements.
The control room is shared by both units, and consequently the Peach Bottom shift foreman is also shared.
