DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 License Amendment Request Dated July 11, 1994 Fire Protection Technical Specification Channes Attached is a request for change to the Facility Operating Licenses and Technical Specifications, Appendix A of the Operating Licenses, for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. This request is submitted in accordance with the provisiona of 10 CFR Part 50, Section 50.90. The requested amendment would change license condition 2.C.4 of each license to conform to the standard fire protection license condition as stated in Generic Letter 86-10. In addition the amendment would delete the fire protection program elements from the Technical Specification in accordance with the recommendations contained in Generic Letter 88-12.
Exhibit A contains a description of the proposed changes, the reasons for requesting the changes, and the supporting safety evaluation /significant hazards determination. Exhibit B contains current Prairie Island Operating License and Technical Specification pages marked up to show the proposed changes. Exhibit C contains the '. 4 sed Operating License and Technical Specification pages.
Implementation of this Amendment v. .he Facility Operating License and Technical Specifications will eliminate the need for the new Technical Specification requirements previously proposed for the additional fire protection and detection equipment installed in the new building which houses the two new safeguards emergency diesel generators and associated equipment.
Accordingly we withdraw our License Amendment Request Dated February 10, 1993, Fire Protection Technical Specification Changes.
