ULNRC-304 3 CALLAWAY PLANT DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PUMP AND VALVE INSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM This letter transmits the Pump and Valve Inservice Testing (IST) Program for Callaway's second 10-year interval..This program was developed in compliance with rules and regulations of 10CFR50.55a and Section XI of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, 1989 Edition.
NRC staff approval of this submittal is requested so that these changes may be implemented December 20, 1994, which is the start of the second 10-year interval.
In addition, Union Electric has replaced che valve-leakage ~ trending requirements of ASME Section XI, 1980 EditionLthrough Winter 1981 Addenda, Section IWV-3427(b) with current requirements of the 1989 Edition of ASME Section XI.
Union' Electric committed to valve leakage trending requirements during the process of revising Technical Specification 3/4.4.6.2 (Amendment 66).
Changes to the Callaway IST Program are subject to the fee provisions of 10CFR170.
Therefore, Union Electric will accept charges incurred as'a. result of the NRC review.
