OFFICE OF SELECTMEN c'G

.- RYE, NEW HAMPSHIRE

'd3 M 24 N121 Judge Helen F. Hoyt, Administrative Judge Atomic Safety and Licensing Panel , ~~'~g_ g U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ,,.,,,,.,,-f, Washington, D.C. 20555

Dear Judge Hoyt:

Both Senator Rudman and Congressmsn D' Amours have contacted us about find-ing a suitable place for you to hold hearings on the licensing of the Seabrook Nuclear Plant in August.

We will be very happy to offer you the use of our Junio. High School Audi-torium'which sits about 500 people and in which we hold our Town Meetings, etc. Nearby is the room which the school nurse uses when school is h session with a bathroom which we can make available to you for your per-sonal use during the hearings.

We understand you have also been offered space in the Strafford County Superior Court which is somewhat better than Boston but still quite a dis-tance from the affected areas. Rye is only about 12 miles from the plant.

Many, many people are very concerned about Seabrook so we hope you will make it convenient for them to attend the hearings.

Very truly yours, a
