Southern Nuclear Operating Company has reviewed the petitioner's request to amend the NRC emergency preparr.dness requirements to change the frequency of the licensee's independent reviews ofits emetgency preparedness program from annually to biennially. This petition was published in the Federal Register on April 13,1994. In accordance with the request for comments, Southern Nuclear Operating Company is in total agreement with the NEI comments which are to be provided to the NRC.
