No sampling and analysis, 11APRG3 - 17APR83.

i CAUSE g NONCOMPLIANCE:

The discharge of this tank was originally routed to the waste water treatment facility. During the discharge, additi'onal grab samples were taken and it was determined the remainder of the tank could be discharged to the cooling pond based upon the grab sample results of 9 mg/l T.S.S., 0.22 mg/l Fe, and a pH of 7.3 S.U.. Prior to commencing discharge to the cooling pond, the automatic composite sampler was to be set up.to obtain the required composite.

Due to a personal error, the composite sampler was not properly set up and the composite sample was missed.

COREZCTIVE ACTION:

Shift personnel will be instructed on the proper set-up of the composite

. sampler, and on the importance of meeting N.P.D.E.S. requirements. r 1
